Beer Batter Fried Sage Leaves

Ingredients:

  • 4 heaping tablespoons of flour
  • 3 oz. of water
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 3 oz. beer
  • 1 to 1½ pinches of olive oil
  • Fresh sage leaves

1) Mix flour, water, salt, pepper & beer in a bowl.


2) In a medium size skillet heat olive oil for frying sage leaves.

3) Coat each leaf in batter and fry in the olive oil until light brown.

4) Drain excess oil from fried sage leaf and serve warm!
